Program Research
WV GEAR UP, 2014-21:
Currently, West Virginia GEAR UP works with ICF International, an external evaluation organization, to evaluate and monitor the progress of the 2014-2021 grant. GEAR UP staff members, along with members of the ICF International research team, are using a robust, theory-based research approach that helps to drive meaningful programmatic decisions for postsecondary expectation and preparation services in GEAR UP schools and communities.
WV GEAR UP, 2008-15:
West Virginia GEAR UP worked with McREL International (formerly Edvantia, Inc.), an external evaluation organization, to evaluate and monitor the progress of the 2008-2015 grant. GEAR UP staff members also worked closely with members of McREL International to research the expectations of and preparation for postsecondary education among our target communities.
