ABOUT THE ADVISORY COUNCIL
The West Virginia GEAR UP Access and Success Advisory Council was established to build capacity of the communities we serve and strengthen statewide access and success efforts to ensure underserved students are prepared to transition to and through postsecondary pathways to increase West Virginia’s attainment rate.

COLLECTIVE IMPACT
Our council is committed to making a transformative impact on students’ educational attainment through the powerful lens of the Collective Impact approach. We recognize the significance of building capacity across diverse sectors and engaging the broader community to join forces in a formalized manner.

The research on the West Virginia GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) program provides valuable insights into the effectiveness of this initiative in supporting students on their path to higher education.
