Family Day at Glenville State College

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED, DUE TO A SNOW STORM EXPECTED FOR THIS WEEKEND.

February 13: Join us to learn about financial aid for college, degree and career options, and life on campus. Plus, watch back-to-back Glenville State Pioneers basketball games! We’ll provide transporation, game tickets and food for FREE! Plus, participating students will be entered to win a brand new Dell laptop! Check out the details below:

Who: 11th and 12th grade students at Roane County High School.

What: A tour of Glenville State College, financial aid and career workshops, and back-to-back Glenville State Pioneers basketball games (women’s game, followed by men’s).

When: Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. (plus time for travel to and from Glenville).

Where: The bus will depart from RCHS at 1 p.m. (download the detailed schedule below).

Details: Transportation, dinner and basketball tickets will be provided by WV GEAR UP. Seats are limited and reservations are made on a first come, first serve basis.

Note: In case of bad weather, check this website for info concerning cancellations or delays.

Want to go? Here’s how:

1. You must reserve your space NO LATER THAN 4 p.m. February 10th by registering online (click the link below), or by contacting Mr. Luyster or Ms. Poole (phone #s are listed below).

2. Students must turn in this consent form, signed by their parent or legal guardian. Consent forms may be turned in the day of the event. No student will be able to board the bus unless he or she has returned a signed consent form.

3. Students must bring a parent, legal guardian, or designated guardian (ex. grandparent) along for the trip. No student may board the bus without a guardian present.
